We are recruiting female volunteers who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, between 18 and 80 years old, to perform a medical imaging exam with a novel Axillary and Breast Microwave Imaging Prototype.
The session will take place at Instituto de Biofísica e Engenharia Biomédica, Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, and will have a average duration of 15 minutes (including explanation and exam). A healthcare professional will be present during the session. Microwave technology uses non-ionising radiation and no significant compression of the body is required so the exam will not be harmful in the short and long-term.
