The kick-off meeting of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network PROMOTE took place on January 23-24 in Hannover, Germany, in a hybrid format.

The meeting included the participation of IBEB researchers – Raquel Conceição, Daniela Godinho, and Seán Finn – as well as the two PhD students who will be hired by the project – Shaheer Mirza and Emanuele Bianchi. They will begin their studies in Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics between February and March of 2025 at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa.

PROMOTE will train young and ambitious scientists to combat prostate cancer (PCa) by offering them a comprehensive and inter-sectoral training to change our view on the disease initiation and progression. PROMOTE is a collaborative network with Partners from Greece, Austria, Portugal, Germany and Spain and brings together 13 leading centers from different disciplines, including 3 SMEs, 4 university hospitals and 2 research institutes.
