The Workshop on Biomedical Engineering is an annual event organised by the Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics students of CIÊNCIAS, more specifically by the Núcleo de Estudantes de Engenharia Biomédica e Biofísica (NE2B2), with the support of IBEB.

This year’s edition, the 16th Workshop on Biomedical Engineering, took place from the 14th to 19th of October, beginning with workshops throughout the week and concluding with a day of lectures and posters session.

IBEB’s researcher Hugo Ferreira and PhD students Helena Pereira and Duarte Saraiva led a workshop titled “Tackling the diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases”. On lectures day, 19th of October, the event counted with the participation of IBEB’s members: Nuno Matela, representing the coordination of IBEB and serving as a jury member for the poster contest; Brígida Ferreira, also as a jury member; Daniela Godinho, presenting 3BAtwin project (an European project coordinated by IBEB) and also serving as a jury member; and Pedro Delgado, presenting his PhD research on “Biomechanics and Neurophysiology in Sports”.
