Three researchers from IBEB attended the last edition of the European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP) in Glasgow, Scotland last week.
Daniela Godinho was a recipient of the TICRA – EurAAP Travel Grant Award. Daniela Godinho and Raquel Conceição chaired the convened session “Biological tissue characterization as a basis for medical devices development” and Raquel Conceição also chaired the convened session “Biomedical Microwave Techniques and Devices: from Diagnosis to Treatment” with colleague Jorge Tobón from Politecnico di Torino.
Ana Catarina Pelicano presented her paper “The Effect of Pressure of the Open-Ended Coaxial Probe on the Measurement of Ex Vivo Biological Tissues Dielectric Properties” and Daniela Godinho co-presented her poster “Best Practices for Accurate Results using Numerical Solvers for Microwave Body Screening” with colleagues Raquel Martins and João Felício from Instituto de Telecomunicações – IST Lisboa. There was a large committee of Portuguese researchers at the conference – a very interesting and fruitful conference in our field of research!
