Biografia
Catarina Pinto Reis é Professora Auxiliar com Agregação na Faculdade de Farmácia (Universidade de Lisboa, Lisboa, Portugal). É membro do IBEB e iMed.ULisboa. É também consultora externa do INFARMED. Frequentou a Universidade de Coimbra (Coimbra, Portugal) e licenciou-se em Ciências Farmacêuticas. Os seus estudos de doutoramento também foram realizados na Universidade de Coimbra com várias colaborações internacionais importantes, onde desenvolveu um interesse em sistemas avançados de administração de fármacos. Esses estudos foram reconhecidos com a atribuição de prémios nacionais. Ela terminou seu PhD em Farmácia em 2008 e, desde então, ela continuou a trabalhar no campo de veiculação de fármacos.
Os seus interesses de investigação estão focados no desenvolvimento de novos sistemas de administração de fármacos, dispositivos médicos, polímeros terapêuticos, métodos de micro e nanoencapsulação de medicamentos, suplementos alimentares e cosméticos, avaliações in vivo de eficácia e segurança recorrendo a modelos animais, testes pré-clínicos avaliação de toxicidade, ciência regulamentar, etc. É autora ou co-autora de mais de 100 artigos, capítulos de livros e inventora de patentes.
