Biography
Saif Aljumaili is a researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Engineering, EEG Signal Processing, Medical Image Analysis, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Intelligent Healthcare Systems. He received his B.Sc. in Systems and Networking from Al-Ma’arif University College, Iraq, in 2012. In 2018, he obtained his M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Atilim University, Ankara, Turkey, where his research focused on scheduling methods in big data frameworks. In 2023, he completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Altinbaş University, Istanbul, Turkey, with research focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and medical image classification for biomedical diagnosis. From February 2024 to September 2025, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Altinbaş University, Turkey, contributing to teaching, research support, supervision, and academic jury activities in computer engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and biomedical applications. Since December 2025, he has been affiliated as a Researcher at the Institute of Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, Portugal. Since January 2026, he has also been affiliated with AquaValor, Portugal, in collaboration with the University of Lisbon. His current research focuses on explainable AI, biomedical signal classification, EEG analysis, medical image diagnosis, intelligent diagnostic systems, and clinically useful AI models for healthcare.
