Biografia

Brigida da Costa Ferreira licenciou-se na Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa em Física Tecnológica e doutorou-se no Karolinska Institutet e na Universidade de Estocolmo em Física Médica de Radiações. Foi investigadora na Universidade de Aveiro no âmbito do programa CIENCIA2008 até 2014, altura em que se tornou professora auxiliar no Politécnico do Porto.

Desde 2020 é professora auxiliar de Engenharia Biomédica na FCUL, onde é responsável pelos cursos de Física Médica em Diagnóstico e Terapia e Diagnóstico e Terapia com Radiações e Protões, entre outros. É também investigadora integrada no IBEB onde o seu trabalho de investigação é dedicado à melhoria das técnicas de radioterapia e aumento dos conhecimentos sobre a resposta dos tecidos à radiação. Publicou mais de 40 artigos em revistas científicas e realizou mais de 90 apresentações em conferências nacionais e internacionais. Orientou mais de 15 dissertações de mestrado e 23 projetos de licenciatura/Erasmus/Verão.
