BIOGRAPHY
Ivo has a degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Neuropsychology, respectively from the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon and the Catholic University of Lisbon. In the clinical work in the field of Neuropsychology he has collaborated, among others, with the Hospital Fernando da Fonseca (Amadora) and Center of Medicine and Rehabilitation of Alcoitão. He is currently a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics at FCUL with the theme: “EEG-Neurofeedback in mild cognitive impairment (MCI): Biomarkers and efficacy in relation to the current intervention”, where he intends to identify electrophysiological biomarkers that help to differentiate the clinical picture of MCI and Dementia , as well as to demonstrate the efficacy of some Neuromodulation techniques such as Neurofeedback and tDCS.
He is a Researcher at the Institute of Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering (IBEB) in the areas of Neurosciences with particular interest in: Neuropsychological Rehabilitation; Aging; Neuromodulation (Neurofeedback and tDCS); EEG and Brain Mapping.
