Artificial intelligence­-based neuroimaging biomarkers for the diagnosis of neuropsychiatric illnesses

Every year, 1 out of 3 people experiences a neuropsychiatric disorder. When these become chronic, they represent the most frequent and debilitating illness type, more than heart disease or cancer. There is a need for their timely and accurate diagnosis such that treatment can start earlier, disease progression can be delayed, patient quality­of­life improved, and disease management more cost­ effective.
